Why should I use Australian MP3 Repairs?
We are an independent iPod repair specialists in Australia, dedicated to the
customer, providing a fast and efficient service. We use experienced
technicians; quality assured parts and offer a 6 month warranty on all
repairs. Australian MP3 Repairs supply free quotes, provide free registered
return postage, with insurance for up to $100 for every repair and offer a
while-you-wait service for customers who are located in Sydney. We have
successfully repaired over 20,000 ipods both here and in the UK and are
committed to our business. We endeavour to extend and improve our services using
best practice in terms of service, technology and products.
How long do you take to repair my iPod?
Most repairs are done within 24 hours of your iPod arriving.
How should I send my iPod to be repaired?
First; go to the Repair my iPod page.
Second; select your iPod model.
Third; select a repair diagnosis and fill out your details within the
designated form.
Finally; Print the automated email of order you will recieve within 15
minutes, and include with your iPod in a bubble wrap Size 0 envelope, please do
not unclude ANY accessories, covers, or boxes, as they will not be returned.

Does it void my apple warranty?
Apple state that any repairs not done by themselves void your warranty.
We offer a 6 month warranty on all repairs.
You the customer are responsible for freight to us for warranty returns
Do we fix the early 1st and 2nd Generation models?
Due to a lack of parts now available for these early models we no longer
offer any repairs on 1st and 2nd Generation iPods.
Will I lose my songs saved on my iPod?
If you are having the hard drive replaced you will obviously lose any data on the old drive with all other repairs it is very rare to lose data but we can't be held responsible if it does get wiped so please always make sure your iPod is backed up before you send it in.
If you have no backup, please state so, and we will quote on data recovery.
Will I get my actual iPod back or another refurbished one?
We work on your own iPod and return it to you.
Do we use qualified apple technicians?
Apple does not offer an iPod repair service and therefore apple qualified
iPod technicians do not exist. We use experienced technicians who have
successfully repaired over 20,000 iPods, both here and in the UK.
We offer a free quoting service and only charge $25 to cover testing and
return postage and packaging.
Do I have to pay for return postage?
We provide free return postage that is registered and insured for up to $100
for all completed repairs. Should you wish to insure the unit for up to $500 please check the insurance tab on the repair required form (an additional charge of $7.50). If a customer returns an iPod under warranty which is
found to be in full working order, then the customer will be charged $25 for
return postage and diagnois.

and contact details overleaf. All cheques will be banked each Friday. iPods and
iPhones will only be returned upon clearing. Any Bank penalties due to cheques
not clearing will be also due prior to the iPod / iPhone being shipped.
Once payment is completed we will e mail you that your iPod has been posted back to you, this email includes that Australia Post tracking number. We return all our iPods using a registered postal service, with insurance for up to $500. If your iPod has not arrived within 3-5 working of the e mail please contact Australia Post by:

Tell the operator your tracking number (emailed to you) and they will assist you with delivery questions.
If you have any further questions that are not answered by the FAQ please contact us. Australian MP3 Repairs honours the Trade Practices Act 1974.
Any iPods that are sent in for repair and left unpaid for 30 days will be recycled.
From time to time we make special offers on the Website. All orders completed during those secial offers time periods will be allocated those offers automatically, those orders completed after the offer is removed may be offered the special offer if the remarks in the order contain a request for the special offer and stocks are avilable.
Data Recovery - Terms and conditions
A $45 fee for data recovery quote, will be charged if significant data recovery is possible and you decide not to proceed with the datarecovery quote. We hold a copy of the data for 30 days then securely delete it. It is the customers responsibility to back up the Data on receipt.

Water Damage Repairs - Terms and conditions
While we can often recover an iPod/iPhone from water damage, often the further
corrosion caused by water damage can cause additional problems in the future.
These future problems are not covered by warranty.
Jailbreak and Unlock - Terms and conditions
Important Points to Note:
1) Phone must be activated for this to be possible.
2) If possible send origional sim with phone to allow acivation.
3) Backup and sync (Apps and Data) from your iPhone prior to sending it to us.
5) The IOS Version See Version in ( Settinging > General > About ) must not excede 4.01.
6) If a unit is sent to us exceeding 4.01 then either we must wait for the Jaailbreak technology is available to Jailbreak it - or a $25 return fee will be chrged to immediatly return the unit.
7) Don't forget to backup the unit prior to sending it to us, There is a small chance of data loss so this is for your protection.
8) Remove sim lock and Phone Lock - or we are all stuck
If you upgrade or restore your unit with iTunes after our services - then you will loose either Unlock or Jailbreak or both.
This is NOT covered by our Warranty.
If you send us an unlockable iPhone for unlocking a $25 return fee will be charged
